I'm a proud Canamerican™ (trademark not pending) – my own coined term for dual citizen. Originally from near Toronto, I moved to the U.S. almost 10 years ago. Living in "The City of Subdued Excitement" was something I had to get used to, but I've finally become your typical chronically late, laid back West Coaster with a bit of East Coast heightened anxiety disorder and mild paranoia thrown in for good measure.

I'm a writer––humorous fiction mostly, but I seem to straddle several genres. I've written three (unpublished) books: the first 2 were practice, the third one I'm in love with. My essay on Pink Floyd founder Syd Barrett was heavily quoted in the biography, "Lost in the Woods," and my humor monologue describing my first impressions of the Northwest was part of a local theatre production. Before I finally became friends with plot, I had some poetry published in small poetry anthologies.

Music: Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, Bonzo Dog Band, The Smiths, Morrissey, The Shins, (early) R.E.M., King Crimson, Adrian Belew, Brian Eno, The Tim Heidecker Masterpiece, David Bowie, The Who, Squeeze, The Beatles, Radiohead

All my opera divas: Cecilia Bartoli, Maria Callas, Renée Fleming, Jennifer Larmore...the list is endless.

Movies: Any Monty Python, Charlie Kaufman, Coen Brothers, Kevin Smith, Woody Allen, Ed Wood ( especially Glenn or Glenda?), The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shock Treatment, foreign film, especially Cocteau.

I'm a sucker for schlocky horror movies. I also love good ones. I'm a relatively new horror fan looking to interact with more "seasoned professionals" and newbies alike. :D

I'm a big Jeffrey Combs fan, especially the Re-Animator series and any H.P. Lovecraft adaptations; Also any Brian Yuzna or Charles Band films. Anything by Full Moon Productions is great fun. :) I love The Evil Dead and Bruce Campbell movies too. And Barbara Crampton is a goddess. :)

TV: I have come to the conclusion that the majority of my television viewing is cartoons. Either I'm regressing or it's the only watchable thing on.

I love the [adultswim] lineup, especially Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Tom Goes to the Mayor, anything by the Soup 2 Nuts company (Dr. Katz, Hey Monie, Home Movies), The Simpsons, King of the Hill, South Park.

I've also become a big "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fan. Xander Harris is godlike.

Officially rediscovering my geeky roots and have started watching Star Trek:TNG, DS9, and Enterprise again. :)

Even though I'm not in the "film biz," I am absolutely fascinated by its inner workings. Sunday Morning Shootout is my new fave show. Inside the Actor's Studio is also great.

When it comes to reruns, I'm a massive Britcom fan - Are You Being Served?, Blackadder, anything to satiate my Anglophilic nature.

Saying I love Seinfeld is pretty much already a given.

I love to save money and look for deals, so I'm heavily into couponing and enjoy the odd dumpster diving trip. I try to give the things I get for free after coupons to shelters and have been known to play "coupon fairy" and hand out coupons to unsuspecting shoppers to help them save money.

Just your average eccentric weirdo with too much time on her hands.

Although I don't drink or smoke, I make up for it by being extremely sexually deviant. ;)
